ADVANCED HIGH ANGLE RESCUE

This training course is designed to provide the candidates with the in-depth knowledge, skills and understanding for undertaking high angle rescue operations.

Who is this course for?

Emergency Services personnel and those who are required to undertake high angle rescue duties. 

Prerequisites

Physically and medically fit

Minimum 18 years of age

Holds a BHAR certificate

Course Content

● Revision on all BHAR techniques
● Further rope access (rope to rope transfer, passing deviations, passing re-belays)
● (Rescue) Passing Re-belay with a Casualty
● (Rescue Passing Deviation with a Casualty
● (Rescue) Rope to Rope Transfer with a Casualty
● (Rescue) Snatch a Casualty from Aid Climb / or Lower Off
● Hang Hauling (with a Separate Rope)
● Cross Hauling
● Advanced Rigging
● (Rescue) Passing Large Re-belay with Casualty
● (Rescue) Passing Knots with Casualty (Knots on 2 Ropes at Same Level)
● Rescue a Casualty from the Middle of Rope to Rope Transfer
● Rescue a Casualty from the Middle of a Large Re-belay
● Rescue a Casulaty from the Bottom of a Large Re-belay (Loop Rescue)
● (Rescue) Aid Climb with Casualty
● Rescue a Casualty Hanging on a Very Short Link
● Breaking into Tight Ropes
● Team Rescue 

Assessment

Candidates shall do a written test and a practical assessment at the end of the course.

Certification

A certificate of course completion will be issued to successful candidates.

It is recommended that refresher or further training is carried out within 2 years.
