SLOPE ACCESS SAFETY

This training course is designed to provide the candidates with the knowledge and skills on safe and practical methods for working on slopes

Who is this course for?

Personnel who are required to work on slope surfaces.  Managers, engineers and supervisors who manage worksites where slope works take place.

Prerequisites

Physically and medically fit

Minimum 18 years of age

  • Understanding the hazards and risks associated with slope works
  • Selecting and applying appropriate safety measure
  • Selection of equipment
  • Pre-use checks
  • Correct fitting of Personal Fall Protection Equipment
  • Anchorage selection
  • Rigging for slope works
    • horizontal lifelines
    • slope access lines
  • Rope / edge protection
  • Slope access methods

Assessment

Candidates shall do a short written test and a practical assessment at the end of the course.

Certification

A certificate of course completion will be issued to successful candidates.

It is recommended that refresher or further training is carried out within 2 years
